If you are looking for Halloween treats and recipes for a spooky spread, I’ve got you covered!
I realize not everyone gets as into Halloween as we do, but for the second year in a row now we are using Halloween as an excuse to have what pretty much amounts to a high school reunion at our house. There is NO way I could do this all by myself, but since Andy and I went to high school together we have two of our best friends who have spent the past week helping us deck the house in spider webs, creepy crawlers, ghosts and ghouls. Another friend of ours is going to DJ and I have a number of good friends who are bringing a special spooky dish for our Halloween buffet table, which will need to feel 100 people!
Pretty much all of our friends are now over the age of 40 (time sure does fly!) and even though they are certainly not all devoted clean eating enthusiasts, nobody complains when I serve a clean spread these days =) The reality is, there are not too many people over the age of 40 who can spend the night eating junk food and wake up the next day feeling good. So whether you are throwing a full blown Halloween party like us or just wanting to make a few healthy Halloween treats, here are some of the recipes I’ll be serving at the party. All of the recipes have no refined sugar, no dairy, no refined oil, no refined flour and nothing artificial.
