Clean Cuisine Pantry

Welcome to the Clean Cuisine Pantry. This list contains our favorite brands and easy recipes that keep our pantry packed for almost any recipe on our weekly menu. Once your pantry is stocked with your favorite items, then you’ll only need to shop weekly for fresh produce, pastured eggs, wild caught seafood and pastured meats.

Most local grocers are starting to carry several of the brands we use. However, their prices still seem to be quite a bit higher than online shops such as: VitaCost.com. VitaCost is our favorite online shop because they carry thousands of discounted organic foods without a membership fee. A second favorite is THRIVE Market, however they do require a small yearly membership.

NOTE: Fruits and vegetables play a huge role in eating clean, but we do not include all of them on this pantry list because they will vary from week-to-week depending on which recipes you plan to make. A good rule of thumb to follow is to load at least 1/2 your cart in the fresh or frozen produce section.

5. Grains and Grain Alternatives

Here at Clean Cuisine we avoid gluten (wheat, barley, rye) to ensure we are reducing inflammatories and excessive amounts of pesticides. With our family’s all being gluten free, we have searched high and low and found some amazing healthy grains and grain alternatives for you to try out that pair with our Gluten Free Recipes here on our website.

6. Nut Butters, Nuts and Seeds

One of the best ways to increase protein with whole foods is the abundance of health benefits found in nut butters, nuts and seeds. The biggest staple in this section is raw cashews. We use a lot of them to make the base and filling of this Key Lime Pie, to make cashew cream for Shrimp and Grits along with this Rosemary and Spinach Casserole!

7. Nut Milks and Cheeses

As you likely know by now, we are mostly dairy free. If we do use cheese, it’s always a little bit of organic, high-quality cheese – and of course, always optional in the recipe. We have an entire category on our website dedicated to amazing Milk Alternatives using coconut, almonds, cashews, macadamia nuts and more!

8. Condiments

From hummus, dips, salsas, dressings and condiments, we have several recipes on our site that we know you’ll find easy to use. However, if you’d rather purchase some, check out Primal Kitchen for healthy store-bought options.

9. Beans

There are so many amazing benefits to eating beans and their starch resistance. Buying a BPA-free organic can of beans is a good substitute to dried beans, soaking and pressure cooking.
