Ivy Larson & Andy Larson, M.D.
Founders of Clean Cuisine
Ivy & Andy’s 19-year old son, Blake (a clean eater since birth!)
Ivy Larson and Andy Larson, M.D. are the original founders of Clean Cuisine, a nutrient-dense anti-inflammatory nutrition program the couple developed after Ivy was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), in 1998 at the age of twenty-two. For over two decades, Ivy has strictly adhered to the Clean Cuisine nutrition principles outlined in the Clean Cuisine Defined page and has remained symptom free of MS without the need to take any of the disease-modifying medications.
Together the couple has written five top-selling nutrition books, including Clean Cuisine: An 8-Week Anti-Inflammatory Nutrition Program that Will Change the Way You Age, Look & Feel and the Clean Cuisine Cookbook. The Clean Cuisine nutrition program has helped tens of thousands of people suffering with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions regain their health and lives.
A former host of nutrition and fitness segments on Lifetime Television, Ivy has also been featured on Good Morning America, CNN, Fox News, Martha Stewart Radio, The Doctors, the Montel Show and NPR. Her recipes, fitness and nutrition advice have been featured in in Time Magazine, US News and World Report, Fitness Magazine, Life & Style, Get Active, Oxygen, Woman’s Day, Woman’s World, Star, National Examiner, First for Women, Quick and Simple and many others.
As a mother, Ivy intimately understands the time constraints other working women and mothers face and she has always aimed to make her lifestyle recommendations as family-friendly, realistic and doable as possible. She is incredibly proud to say she has raised their now 19-year old son, Blake, on the same nutrient-dense, anti-inflammatory nutrition program she has adhered to since his birth in 2001. The couple attributes Blake’s remarkable good health to clean eating (he has only been on antibiotics once in his life!)
