Our gluten free meal plan is perfect if you are interested in serving 100% gluten free, but healthy meals this week.
Let’s face it, deciding what to make for dinner can be overwhelming, especially if you save the decision-making to the end of the day when everyone is exhausted and starving. This is exactly when you are most likely to fall into the fat-laden take-out trap.
How to Stay Organized for our Gluten Free Meal Plan
What works for our family is staying really organized by sticking to a basic weekly dinner plan, in this case: a gluten free meal plan. Even though the recipes change, if we have an overall idea of what we will be eating for dinner, it just makes things a whole lot easier!
Clean Cuisine Basic Weekly Dinner Plan
In general, this is how we plan each week’s meal plan ahead of time. Gluten Free Meal Plan
This week, we’re back in the 40’s as I prepare my gluten free meal plan for the week. Everyone in our home is gluten free, by choice. About 8 years ago, I removed gluten from my diet to improve my autoimmune symptoms. Then my husband and children followed a few years later. It is amazing to see the big differences in my gut health by removing gluten.
So, this week is all about a gluten free meal plan. Not only are all of these recipes gluten free, but they are do not contain any dairy or refined sugar!
MONDAY – Meat free
Try a bowl of Butternut Squash Soup. This soup is simple, clean, and is loaded with all delicious flavors. It’s also pureed, making it the perfect soup to throw in a thermos and sip on throughout the day. It may just be the coziest way to stay nourished on the go!
Serve the soup with a simple side salad with caesar salad dressing and warmed up gluten free biscuits drizzled with honey.
TUESDAY – Stir Fry
This Cashew Chicken is a cleaned up version of the classic Chinese take-out. It’s so delicious and brings back all of the flavors and feelings of take-out without jeopardizing my health.
Pair this with our homemade Cauliflower Fried Rice or a bed of brown rice cooked in our favorite rice cooker from VitaClay.
WEDNESDAY – One Dish Wonder
Our delicious Vegetable Frittata is made with asparagus, leeks and dill. It’s perfect for brunch but also makes a delicious one dish wonder for a gluten free meal plan for dinner.
You can easily add some bacon or sausage crumbles before baking. Plus, a big side salad makes this a hearty dinner meal.
THURSDAY – Around the World
Linguine with Clam Sauce is a classic Italian dinner and perfect for anyone that is gluten free. Using fresh off-the-vine chopped tomatoes from Pomi paired with clams from a can, makes this dish a 20 minute dinner!
A great appetizer to pair with this Linguine with Clam Sauce is Stuffed Eggplant Rolls or for something more elegant (but not expensive), try our Blinis recipe!
FRIDAY – Fish
My dear friend Kate has some of the most delicious, anti-inflammatory recipes. Plus, they are all perfect for a gluten free meal plan week.
This recipe for Grilled Salmon with Green “Rice” sounds and looks absolutely delicious. Ginger, garlic and coconut aminos is a perfect blend for salmon.
Pair this delicious salmon dish with another of Kate’s top recipes: Brussel Sprouts with Essential Green Sauce.
SATURDAY – Slow Cooker
This slow cooker Mexican Stuffed Peppers recipe is also great for meat free mondays. Or, add in some crumbled cooked turkey to increase the protein amount.
In just a few short hours, your dinner will be delicious and ready. Serve with a big salad to increase your nutrition for the day!
SUNDAY – Chili
This Healthy Turkey Chili Recipe has my family begging me to add this to our meal planner every week. Since it’s gluten free (and so delicious), I wanted to introduce you all to it as well.
You can top this turkey chili with gluten free tortilla chips, homemade sour cream, fresh avocado slices, fresh cilantro and a few dabs of hot sauce too.
A Few Gluten Free Desserts for the Week
To wrap up this week’s gluten free meal plan, consider one (or two) of our favorite desserts that are gluten free and dairy free.
Gluten Free Brownies – chewy and deliciously moist.
Apple Pie Parfaits – layers of sauteed cinnamon apples, caramel, ice cream and coconut crunch.
Thumbprint Cookies – perfect with any flavor of jelly, but strawberry and raspberry are the best!
Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies – full of flavor, these cookies are the best gluten free cookie recipes I’ve ever made!
