Power AirFryer Oven Review

A few months ago, I finally purchased this Power AirFryer Oven and figured it needed a quick review. Plus, a delicious dehydrated pineapple air fryer recipe.

I think we can all admit that fried food tastes good. Real good. One of my girlfriends hails from Boston’s North End, and she’s always talking about the amazing pan-fried, breaded Chicken Parmesan from Giacomo’s on Hanover St. She’s tried to make healthier versions at home but says it never tastes the same. Plus, it always makes a big mess.

Then she sent me this recipe for Chicken Parmesan in the AirFryer and asked me if I thought it could really replicate the fried flavor without the oil or mess. I had no idea because I had never even heard of the Power AirFryer. That was months ago, but I made a mental note about the appliance.

Frying is back but without all the fat.  A different way to get all that!

Then slowly but surely I started hearing more and more about the Power AirFryer Oven. Not nearly the online sensation that the Instant Pot has been, but it’s definitely making waves in the culinary world.

What does the Power AirFryer Oven do?

Apparently there are commercials galore for the Power AirFryer on TV, but if you are like me and haven’t seen them then you might be as surprised as I was to learn that this appliance allows you to deep fry—without oil! In addition to serving as an oil-free deep-fryer, the Power AirFryer Oven can also be used as an oven, toaster oven, pizza grill, microwave, rotisserie and dehydrator.

The appliance comes with interchangeable trays and racks and uses super-heated cyclonic air for 360 degree circulation making it perfect to “air fry” foods, rotisserie meats and dehydrate fruits and vegetables without oil.

Technically, oil is not a “whole food”; oil is a processed food because nutrients, fiber and important phytonutrients are removed when pressing plant foods into oil. You can read more about why “whole fats” are best in this blog post, but for now just know that the Power AirFryer lets you cook with less oil and that’s a good thing! Not only that, but the rapid air-fry technology saves you from a lot of greasy mess to wipe up.

PLUS…the Power AirFryer Oven includes:

  • 3 cookbooks
  • a rotating rotisserie basket
  • a rotisserie bar
  • 2 rotisserie prongs
  • 10 skewers
  • 2 rotisserie wheels
  • a drip tray
  • 3 stainless-steel shelves

It’s also super easy to use with state-of-the-art touchscreen with 8 presets including french fries, steak, fish, shellfish, fried chicken, cake, rotisserie and dehydrator. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, flexitarian, paleo or even raw, there’s plenty you can make with the Power AirFryer Oven!

  7. Hello,
I spent a long time researching and reading reviews of the “best” air fryers available on the market. I came to finally decide to choose this one and I am super happy that I did. I have only owned this air fryer for a few days and have only used it a couple times, but let me start by telling you why I chose this air fryer and what positive features I have noticed so far. First, I chose this air fryer because I am not looking for an XL fryer to feed an entire family, just one to feed myself and girlfriend. This air fryer is perfect size for feeding up to two people. If you’re needing more room to feed more than two people, then I probably would not go with this one unless you want to cook in portions. I also chose this air fryer because of the reviews and description claiming that it circulates air to cook evenly and give food that “crispy” outside, similar to a deep fryer. That is absolutely true! I cut some potatoes up into small slices to make French Fries and they came out evenly soft on the inside and crispy on the outside (I did check them frequently every 5-8 minutes and would pull the basket out to shake them up a bit as well to ensure even cooking, but overall cook time for 6 cut up potatoes was about 12-15 min). Some fries obviously came out more crispy than others but that was due to my error of having some potato slices cut extremely thin. I also have breaded two chicken breasts and cooked them as well. The chicken came out perfect! I did not have to flip the chicken over while it was in there neither. The chicken breasts were average sized and both breaded chicken breasts fit perfectly side by side in the basket (the French Fries I had to cook separately from the chicken for obvious reasons and also due to available room in the basket). The chicken had a nice crispy breaded outside and the inside was cooked evenly through and tasted very juicy! The chicken took me about 25-30 minutes to cook. Other things that I like about this air fryer aside from it having the ability to cook food evenly and give that similar crispness to a deep fryer are it’s ease of use. It is super simple to clean and the parts are dish washer safe. The basket pulls out with the bottom of of the fryer and the basket is released from the fryer by a push of the button on top of the handle (this handle has a safety that slides over the button to ensure accidental basket release doesn’t occur). Another positive is the speed of which this air fryer heats up. It has two indicator lights on top of it. One which displays the fryer is on and the other to display when the fryer has reached set temperature for pre-heat. I had set the knob to 350 degrees and the green pre-heat indicator light shut off after only a few minutes (the green pre-heat light turning off is what indicates that the fryer has reached desired temperature). The ONLY flaw that I found with this fryer is that it does not have a digital screen nor digital controls. Both the temperature settings and timer are turn knobs. The temperature knob goes by increments of 50 degrees, up to 400 degrees total. The time goes by increments of 5 minutes up to 60 minutes total. Overall I am very satisfied with this air fryer and I can highly recommend this one for anyone looking for similar features as me. The quality and price are both exceptional for this fryer. I attached pictures of the French Fries and chicken that I made as an example of how well this fryer cooks.
    Best regards.

I’ve wanted an air fryer oven since they came out, but at 71 yrs old, being on a fixed income, winning one is the only way I will ever get one. Being able to cook grease free or limited would be great for my diabetic diet. Also, I would love to be able to dehydrate some fruit and make some turkey jerky.

  22. Maureen Burk says:

  23. A healthy way to have fried food taste without the calories & extra fat.

  24. Hi, I would love to try an air fryer oven, I seen the infomercials, have thought about it, sometimes it looks and sounds better then it is, so to try it myself, who knows, I may get hooked on it. Right now I’m 59 years old, and need to eat much healthier, I do already use coconut oil to fry my foods in, but air frying may be just what I need. I’m also raising my 8 year old disabled grand daughter, her mother passed away close to 3 years ago now, so just me an her, and I’m her guardian as well. I’m trying to get her to be mouth fed more, she is at stage 3 of baby food, but would be awesome to give her more healthier foods if she is able to eat normal and no longer needed her g-tube feedings, but only time will tell! So again sure I would love to try out the air fryer oven! Would make it so much easier for me and healthier as well.

  25. I’m looking for a healthier way to feed my family. We love to fish and have fish fries but frying it in oil is sooo not good. I would love to try a family size Power AirFryer Oven that could make batches large enough to feed our family. Thank you for the opportunity to try to win one!

  26. Those pineapple rings look amazing! I would love to try an Airfryer!

  27. I’d love to try the Power AirFryer for a lot of reasons. I do all of the cooking in my house and pride myself on serving my family clean and healthy meals that not only fuel the body for activity, but are also pleasant on the palate. The AirFryer would allow me to add new healthy foods to my repertoire that wouldn’t leave me stuck in the kitchen for hours on end. As my kids get older and are in more extracurricular activities time becomes a bit of a commodity and I refuse to use that as an excuse to pull into a drive thru food joint. In my opinion, you get out of your body what you put into it! Thanks for the opportunity to win this spectacular kitchen cooking tool.

  28. Amy Drazen says:

I am so excited about the opportunity to win this Power AirFryer, because it is #1 on my wish list! I’m a wife and a mom of 2 little girls, ages 3 and 5 years old. I love cooking healthy meals for my family. We love “fried” foods, but rarely eat them, because we are very health conscious. I love kitchen gadgets, and have been really wanting an air fryer so much that I already started a Pinterest board of air fryer recipes a few months ago. It would be nice to finally put these recipes to use. Aside from keeping “fried” foods healthier with this particular air fryer, I love that I can make rotisserie chicken in it, which is one of my family’s favorite things to eat. I also love that I can dehydrate fruits and vegetables. This especially makes great snacks for my kids. Thank you for the opportunity to win it! 🙂

  29. I try to follow clean healthy eating but my hubs isn’t as committed. I hesitate to buy new appliances that I’m unsure if I will really use. I have a pantry full?‍♀️ Love following you and feel inspired! Thank you for all you do!
