BEST and Safest Ceramic Cookware

The BEST and safest Ceramic Cookware was not easy to find. The hunt for the best ceramic cookware that is also the safest cookware, began when a reader asked what type of cookware we used.

After several searches, we realized that the cookware we had been using in our clean cuisine kitchen was not the best. How could we be promoting healthy foods when our cookware wasn’t the best.

After our research, it was necessary to overhaul our own cookware. Because, after all healthy food starts with healthy cookware.

Looking for the BEST Ceramic Cookware

It is not really all that hard to find non-toxic pots and pans if you know what to look for. But, many people do not realize that the cookware they use may actually be leaching toxins into their bloodstream. This is especially true for people who are trying to eat clean and think healthy cooking means using non-stick cookware.

What they don’t realize is that PFOA (Perfluorooctanoic acid), a carcinogenic man-made chemical, is widely used in the production of many non-stick cookware surfaces.

When heated to a high degree or scratched during normal cooking, non-stick cookware can release toxins into the food. The use of non-stick cookware could be a reason PFOA can be found in the bloodstreams of 95% of American men, women and children.

My favorite “green” cookware happens to be Xtrema 100% Ceramic Cookware.

Could the Rise in Cancer Be Related to Environmental Toxins?

Since 1940 the number of cancers has increased in all industrialized countries, and it is a frightening trend that has picked up speed since 1975. Although it would be comforting to blame the rise in cancer to an aging population and more advanced screenings.

However, when you consider a 2004 article published in the prestigious journal Lancet stating that “Cancers in children and adolescents are among those that have risen the most since 1970”, it makes you wonder.

Non-Stick Coated Cookware Likely Plays a Role

I also can’t help but wonder if our environmental exposure to a large number of chemical products that didn’t exist before 1940 might play a role? And, are the environmental toxins that we ingest, such as the ones from non-stick cookware,  especially harmful? I have a hunch they might be, which is why I decided to clean up my cookware act and search for the best healthy cookware.

Reduce Your Exposure to Toxins By Choosing 100% Ceramic Cookware

Not all ceramic cookware is created equal. The biggest issue is that people think that ceramic coated cookware is healthy. Unfortunately, over a few months of regular use, the ceramic coating begins to chip and break down. This reaction can cause chemicals and leads to be released.

The safest cookware is also ceramic cookware. 100% ceramic cookware does not leach toxins or metals into you food. Which means that our “clean cuisine” recipes will actually taste better.

Choosing the BEST 100% Ceramic Cookware

From the research I have done, Xtrema Cookware is truly the greenest and best healthy cookware on the planet. Click HERE to read more about the importance of choosing toxic-free cookware. Here are 4 things you must know before choosing ceramic cookware for your kitchen.

Top 4 Things to Consider Before Buying:

There’s so much information to teach you about ceramic cookware. So, let me break it down to a few main points that helped my family and I commit to cooking with Xtrema Ceramic Cookware.

#1: Most Cookware Contains PFOA – 100% Ceramic Cookware Does Not!

Most cookware, even ceramic-coated cookware can contain bonding material and chemicals like PFOA, that have been shown to cause serious health concerns.

#2: 100% Ceramic Cookware Can Cook at High Temperatures

Cooking at high temperatures on metal cookware can cause similar issues while also changing the health profile of your foods. However, 100% ceramic cookware can be using in the stove, for broiling, on the grill top and in the microwave without any chemicals leaching into your foods.

#3: 100% Ceramic Cookware has No Chemicals

Almost all cookware on the market contains: PFOAs, PTFEs, glues, polmyers, coatings or dyes of some kind. An independent study shows that 100% ceramic cookware (No, we’re not talking about ceramic-coated!) has none of these chemicals introduced into the cookware at any stage of the process.

#4: Look for FDA-Approved Renewable Raw Materials

The best part about using Xtrema Ceramic Cookware is that you are using cookware that has been FDA-approved as a renewable raw material. Which means, there is truly only ceramic used in making this cookware.
