Chicken Artichoke Recipe
While many recipes require a total health makeover that requires a lot of creativity, this Chicken Artichoke Recipe only needed a few easy swaps to clean it up! That’s because to make the perfect chicken artichoke recipe, you need only a few staple ingredients. These ingredients really boil down to cream, chicken, artichokes, spinach, and spices.
Having been dairy-free for many years now, I’ve had lots of time to experiment with alternatives to milk, cream, and cheese. Personally, I find coconut cream to be the perfect dairy-free (and nut-free for those avoiding nuts) alternative to cream! Rich and creamy in flavor, coconut cream is the perfect neutral base for any sweet or savory recipe where cream is needed.
After replacing the cream, creating my own healthy Chicken Artichoke Recipe from scratch really just required some trial and error until I found the perfect flavor that I loved best.
How to Use Artichokes
Artichokes can be found in numerous recipes here on Clean Cuisine, and for good reason! Artichokes, while often thought of has a vegetable, are botanically a thistle. They’re an excellent source of numerous vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, K, folate, magnesium, potassium, and iron. Click here to read more about the benefits of artichokes!
Not only are artichokes incredibly nutrient-dense, but they’re also very versatile, and can be used in a wide array of different types of recipes. Here are just a few of our favorite recipes using artichokes here at Clean Cuisine:

The Best Cookware
You can choose clean foods all day long, but true clean eating begins with clean cookware! Unfortunately, most people today are using very toxic cookware, such as non-stick coated, teflon cookware that are most definitely leaching toxins into their foods. That’s why we love sticking to 100% Ceramic Cookware, stoneware (for baking), or cast iron!
While all are great choices, personally, I’ve been loving cast iron lately for the quick cook time, and ability to retain heat, and easily and perfectly crisp my food. Cast iron is a great option for non-toxic, non-stick cookware. It actually becomes more non-stick overtime as you continually season it (here’s how to season your cast iron).
If you’ve never owned cast iron before, Pampered Chef offers great 10″ and 12″ Cast Iron Skillets for easy, non-toxic, and non-stick cooking!
