Broccoli Side Dish Recipe

Broccoli Side Dish Recipe – If you’re looking for a garlicky, buttery, and delicious Broccoli Side Dish Recipe, you’ve come to the right place! This recipe has quickly become my “go-to” broccoli recipe on those busy days when I don’t have much time to spend in the kitchen. It’s an easy recipe to fall back on that I know everyone will love, even if they aren’t necessarily big fans of broccoli.

And although this recipe tastes like its smothered in rich and creamy garlic butter, this recipe uses only clean, vegan ingredients. The ingredients are actually so simple, that they are even safe for paleo, AIP, Whole30, and SCD diets! Ready to learn more? Keep reading!

Are Veggies Healthy?

It’s no secret that eating more veggies is good for you. Plant foods are lowest on the food chain, and therefore contain considerably fewer toxins than animal foods. Plant foods are also the only source of of anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging phytonutrients that fight-disease, and help to heal our bodies. In our opinion, the more veggies, the better! Click here to read more about phytonutrients!

This is why we choose to eat a plant-forward diet, where plants are our largest serving, and meat is more of a side dish item in most meals.

Unfortunately, veggies have gotten a bad rap over the years (especially for kids), where they’re more of an obligation instead of something to look forward to. Personally, I think this idea boils down to many people growing up on bland, and flavorless boiled vegetables. Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be that way! That’s why I love making flavorful and crave-worthy recipes like this Broccoli Side Dish Recipe!

Broccoli Side Dish Recipe

This Broccoli Side Dish Recipe is far from bland and flavorless. While I don’t enjoy coconut oil in every recipe, coconut oil somehow pairs perfectly with broccoli! The coconut oil in this recipe is an excellent replacement for butter, and offers a massive boost of lauric acid, and healthy fats (click here to learn why coconut oil is good for you).

For some added flavor, and to mimic that “garlic butter” taste, I added a healthy dose of nutritious garlic, which is actually loaded with medicinal properties and health benefits! (click here to read more). Add a little bit of Himalayan pink salt, and that’s really all you need for a tasty, and delicious broccoli recipe!

Of course, you can always feel free to add to this recipe based upon your flavor preference. Whether you decide to add additional garlic, switch out the coconut oil for ghee, or add some mushrooms or onions for additional veggies, this recipe leaves lots of room for customization!

The Best Cookware

Here are Clean Cuisine, we believe clean eating begins with clean cookware! If you’re cooking on non-stick coated, teflon cookware, some of those toxins will most definitely end up in your food. That’s why we love sticking to 100% Ceramic Cookware, stoneware (for baking), or cast iron!

While all are fantastic choices, personally, I’ve been loving cast iron lately for the quick cook time, and ability to retain heat, and easily and perfectly crisp my food. Cast iron is a great option for non-toxic, non-stick cookware. It actually becomes more non-stick overtime as you continually season it (here’s how to season your cast iron).

If you’ve never owned cast iron before, Pampered Chef offers great 10″ and 12″ Cast Iron Skillets for easy, non-toxic, and non-stick cooking!
