If you don’t have some sort of general strategy in place then it is inevitable that kids, work, family, friends, life and so much more will eventually throw your clean eating intentions completely out the window (or off the table!)

If you know my story, then you know I have been eating clean since 1998, ever since I was twenty-two years old. I have been married for 15 of those years and have not only cooked clean meals for my husband but have also raised our 14-year old son to eat this way. I have written five books and every single one has included an extensive collection of recipes. So let me tell you, I have cooked a LOT of meals over the years. I mean a lot. And there is just no way I could consistently manage to eat clean on a regular basis for this many years if I didn’t have a few tricks up my sleeve….

Preparing a fresh and nutritious meal for your family doesn’t have to be a headache. The simple tricks, ideas, and shortcuts I use not only keep me sane but also enable me to make fuss-free everyday meals without spending all day in the kitchen.

Believe me, I know all too well that making the commitment to eat clean can seem daunting in and of itself and I realize the idea of cooking can seem even more overwhelming. But it can be done. And you don’t have to give up having a life to do it either.
