This Lemon Salad Dressing has become a staple in our home. It’s the perfect flavor booster while also providing some wonderful health benefits.

Lemons are a staple in our home. We add it to teas, in our water, as a flavor booster in recipes and especially in our Lemon Salad Dressing.

Lemon Salad Dressing is Perfect for Tomato Salad

One of my favorite salads to make is using a box of heirloom small tomatoes, slicing them in half, adding some red onion slices, fresh herbs and this delicious Lemon Salad Dressing drizzled on top.

If you love artichokes — you must try out our Marinated Artichoke Hearts recipe that has a bit of lemon and some rosemary too. It’s a perfect pairing with the tomato salad above.

Benefits for the Lemon Salad Dressing

There are so many wonderful benefits to adding lemon to your diet. Making this dressing and keeping it handy in the fridge makes it easy to get a dose of lemon every day!

  • Aids in digestion
  • Immunity Boost (Want more ways? Check out our 9 Ways to Boost your Immunity here).
  • Gives your skin a fresh glow
  • Acts as a diuretic, so it helps with bloating
  • Helps to flush out bacteria and toxins from the body
  • Has antibacterial properties that fight against throat and other infections (Try our: Soothing Lemon Ginger Tea – so delicious!)
  • Can be used as an alternative to salt!

Best Ways to Incorporate Lemons Everyday

There are so many wonderful things you can do with lemons. You can add them to you Strawberry Lemonade, enjoy some lemon with this delicious Clam Sauce recipe, try a Clean Lemon Margarita — or just toss a few slices in your water!

Leave a bowl of lemons on the counter so you can remember to squeeze them into your drinking water. I always seem to have a half sliced lemon in the fridge for my morning hot lemon water.

You can also use lemons as an alternative (or flavor booster) to salt. ALWAYS squeeze lemon into your soups and pasta sauces–it boosts flavor without salt!

And of course, making this lemon salad dressing so you’re ready to drizzle on your next salad!

For the everyday salad dressing, you say 1/2 to 1 whole lemon. Do you mean the juice of 1/2 to 1 whole lemon?
