Instant Pot and 10 Clean Instant Pot Recipes
Want a cozy warm chicken stew on a cold winter night? How about a hearty (and dairy free!) beef stroganoff?
If you are anything like me, the hardest ingredient to find for any weeknight recipe is time. The slow cooker is great if you can organize yourself in the morning and get all of the ingredients in the pot before you rush out the door. But does anyone ever actually do that? Unless I am testing a recipe, I usually don’t start cooking until I start to get hungry. And that can mean a conventional Chicken Curry Stew recipe that usually takes over an hour to cook is probably not going to be made.

If you struggle with finding time to get a great meal on the table night after night, our Canadian neighbors came up with a game-changing appliance that can truly revolutionize dinner. The 9-in-1 Instant Pot! With the Instant Pot I can cook Chicken Curry with Vegetables in just 17 minutes!
The Instant Pot is inspiring cooks everywhere and making meals much faster than a slow cooker.
I’m not one to hop on the latest fad, so I was very late to the Instant Pot party. But if you happen to keep up with me on Facebook, you know I have been raving about this appliance ever since I broke down and bought one several months ago.
I love my 9-in-1 cooker so much that we teamed up with Instant Pot to offer one lucky reader the chance to win their very own. We’re giving away the 6 quart, Instant Pot Duo Plus 9-in-1 Multi-Use Programmable Pressure Cooker (valued at $130)
The Instant Pot® is a Smart Electric Pressure Cooker designed to be Safe, Convenient and Dependable.
It speeds up cooking by 2~6 times using up to 70% less energy and, above all, produces nutritious healthy food in a convenient and consistent fashion.
Instant Pot® Duo 9-In-1 Multi-Use Programmable Cooker replaces 7 kitchen appliances – Pressure Cooker, Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker, Steam, Sauté/Searing, Yogurt Maker & Warmer.
17 smart built-in programs – Soup/Broth, Meat/Stew, Bean/Chili, Poultry, Sauté/Searing, Steam, Rice, Porridge, Multigrain, Slow Cook, Keep-Warm, Yogurt, Pasteurize & Pressure Cook, the Instant Pot enables you to cook your favorite dishes with the press of a button. The Duo Plus includes 3 new programs, Cake, Egg, and Sterilize. The Cake program has been designed to pressure cook soft and moist cakes; whereas, the Egg program has been created to prepare perfect eggs in just a few minutes. With the Sterilize program one can pasteurize milk, and sterilize baby bottles, jars, and utensils; as well as, perform certain types of canning much more conveniently than ever before!
Instant Pot® generates almost no noise and leaks no steam. It traps all the aroma in the food without heating up the kitchen. The 3-ply stainless steel bottom inner pot is extremely durable and leaves no health concerns associated with non-stick coatings. The slim body design has lid holders for both left and right-handed users. The brushed stainless steel exterior is finger print resistant.
Designed to cater to varying tastes and food conditions, the programs come with 3 adjustable settings, “Less”, “Normal” and “More” to achieve one’s desired results; 3 temperatures in ‘Sauté’ for searing, simmering or thickening for a maximum time of 30 minutes, and 3 temperatures in ‘Slow Cook’ to complete the tasks of a common slow cooker, and 3 temperatures in ‘Keep Warm’ to maintain food at different serving temperatures.
The 24-hour delay start feature allows users to postpone the start to have dinner ready when you are. Automatic ‘Keep Warm’ holds the temperature of the meal until you’re ready to serve. With the Plus, one can easily turn the ‘Keep Warm’ ON or OFF even after the program has started.
Instant Pot® Duo Plus was developed with the latest 3rd generation technology with an embedded microprocessor. During the cooking process, the microprocessor monitors the pressure and temperature, keeps time, and adjusts heating intensity and duration. Even the volume of food is taken into consideration. The cooking programs have been thoroughly tested for optimal results. These greatly improve cooking results and consistency of the dishes. Instant Pot passed the stringent UL certification giving you uncompromised safety and peace of mind and protects you with 10 proven safety mechanisms and patented technologies.

Would love to make the coconut yogurt! I buy it all the time and I know the sugar content is so high, not to mention the price. It would be nice to be able to make my own homemade. Love your recipes!
What would I make first? How can I answer that when it all looks so good. I’d have to start alphabetically I guess. : ) So probably baked beans. Spring/summer is coming so what a yummy sidekick to some burgers! I prefer dry beans and they are often a little crunchy which my family doesn’t love. I’m hoping this little contraption would solve that!
I honestly thought I was going to get one for Christmas, but I didn’t.
Quinoa with Cilantro Dressing – cant wait
I would try any of the recipes. Love new recipes!
Insta Pot Coconut Yogurt, yummy!
Mexican quinoa with cilantro dressing
Beef stroganoff!
the Strogenoff
The Dairy free Stroganoff!
All the recipes sound yummy. Not usually a cake eater, but I love the idea of baking in the instant pot so I may have to try the Pear and Cranberry Cake first.
I can’t remember if I actually sent my comment, but I did want to say that I subscribe to your newsletter AND I tweeted here:

My comment was that the first thing I would cook would be corned beef!
Low carb chili- no beans.
Thanks for sharing your story and supporting us.
curry chicken
Chicken curry with vegetables
I keep seeing these and they sound wonderful because it’s so quick. That’s the tough part of trying to eat healthy, when you’re hungry it’s so easy to grab items from the pantry while you spend time cooking. By the time you finish cooking dinner you can be full and typically not by snacking on something healthy.
I don’t know what, “Your comment is awaiting moderation” means?
Hi Deb! So sorry for the confusion, it is an automated response that gets sent to everyone (because sometimes we get spam comments) It is nothing personal =)
I’ve been craving a stew, a hearty thick stew. That would be my first meal if I win!
I have used this at my daughters house and would love to have it. ease in use and cleaning ..superb invention. I have used it with my daughter for all kinds of bean curries, chili , rice , and stews. Rice made in 4 mins. Looking forward to making yogurt I would love to have it for my own.
