Turmeric contains a polyphenol called curcumin, that is known for it’s incredible medicinal, anti-inflammatory benefits. Curcumin is so powerful, that many studies have proven it to be similar to the effects of Prozac, helpful in treating RA, other chronic illnesses, and even helping to prevent cancers 🙌🏼

Because of all of these benefits, we find it vital to regularly incorporate turmeric into our diet. There are tons of ways to sneak turmeric into a dish, but today, we wanted to share a salad dressing that included this root!

I use to immediately associate brownies with a sugary junk food that you should limit to no more than one on special occasions. And I think that’s what most people associate with desserts, because the overwhelming majority of sweet treats are made with harmful, processed ingredients that we all know we probably shouldn’t be putting into our bodies! 🛑 .

But it doesn’t have to be that way! After deciding that I was going to make the necessary dietary changes to help my body heal, and completely took on a new lifestyle, those associations slowly begin to diminish. Now, when I think of desserts, I don’t think of limitations, or splurging, but I think of delicious ways that I can actually be nourishing and showing love to my body 💕 .

These brownies are a great example of what a dessert now looks like in my life. Filled with fruit, nutrient dense raw cacao powered, black beans, and so much more, these brownies are ones you can feel good about putting into your body! 🍌 And before you ask, no, they do NOT taste like black beans!
