Strawberry Sauce Recipe

Fresh Strawberry Sauce recipe is super easy to make and has no refined sugar. It is delicious on whole grain pancakes, waffles or crepes.

Ingredients

  • ΒΌ cup water
  • 5 organic pitted medjool dates, like these ones from Terrasoul
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 pound fresh organic strawberries, washed, hulled & sliced)
  • 2 teaspoons arrowroot

Instructions

  1. Combine water, dates and lemon juice in a high speed blender.
  2. Add the water, date and lemon juice mixture along with the strawberries to a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat.
  3. Bring to a boil and cook over medium low heat for about 20 minutes.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the arrowroot and set aside to cool and thicken for 15 to 20 minutes before serving. Serve warm or cold.
