Bacon Wrapped Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 10 oz green beans (around 3.5 cups), fresh or frozen
  • 8 oz turkey bacon
  • 1/4 cup avocado oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 385ºF, or if you’re using an oven, preheat to 400ºF, and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Begin by steaming green beans, either in a steam bag in the microwave, or over the stovetop (click here to learn how to steam green beans on the stovetop)
  3. Once green beans are steamed, allow to cool enough to handle, and pat dry with a paper towel. Set aside.
  4. Place bacon on a cutting board, and use a knife (like this one) to cut bacon in half down the center, longways.
  5. Place the avocado oil in a bowl, and lay bacon, and green beans out beside each other in an assembly line. 
  6. Lay out one half piece of bacon, and top with 4-6 green beans at the end of a strip. Roll into a tight bundle. 
  7. Repeat process until all green beans and bacon have been used. 
  8. Using a silicone basting brush, brush avocado oil onto all bundles of bacon wrapped green beans.
  9. Place on rack (if using an air fryer) or baking sheet, and sprinkle with salt to taste.
  10. Place in air fryer for 10-15 minutes, or oven for 15-20 minutes, or until bacon is crisp, and thoroughly cooked.
  11. Remove from heat, and serve immediately. Enjoy!
